Work experience with an independent TV production company based in Manchester. Was a production runner for two episodes of Nightmare in Suburbia.

University of Chester - Student Residental Warden
During my third year, I was student residential warden for Croft Hall on the Warrington Campus. This involved making sure all the fresher’s felt comfortable with their new surroundings, bringing everyone together for house meetings and making sure everyone was socialising in a positive way.

6 Week Work Experience Program (Part of my Degree)
RadioActive & The Hits/Smash Hits

For my university course, I had the option to undertake a 6 week work placement of my choice. I worked 3 weeks with RadioActive & The Hits/Smash Hits Radio. During these placements I learnt a great deal of valuable skills, from making radio packages, scheduling, segment editing, learning to use radio playout software. The biggest tasks I had was to import songs into a radio scheduling system.

BBC Blast - Freelance Assistant
This was part time paid freelance work. The BBC and RadioActive jointly ran an exclusive 1 week course in radio production. I worked for RadioActive under the BBC Blast brand. I was involved for 2 days of the week, supporting the young people with the editing and post-production side of the course.

Freelance Creative Assistant
This was part time paid freelance work. The work involved creating audio podcasts, assisting other freelance artists with technical issues for example studio work or editing, cataloging audio content such as jingles on playout system Myriad and creating programme packages for broadcast. I also delivered training to new and old staff members and young people on mini-disks, playout systems (Myriad), and Adobe Audition.

Presented & Produced the Sunday Afternoon show, with features like the 4:30 fact, Jason’s Quiz Call (featuring Pip & Posh), The Sunday Dilemma and challenge Mike.

Wyke FM - News Reader & Presenter
Member of the news team at Wyke FM, part of UTV Radio. This involved me researching and reporting on local news stories, also preparing and reading the bulletins/local news updates. Presented Saturdays 80s Retro Show, for this I had to create the playlist for the show and research into songs and key events of the 80s.

RadioActive Hull (2005) - Presenter/Producer
Presented the Drivetime slot 4pm til 6pm, with Jason Hughes. With features like Odeon Film Chart “Andy’s 5:30 Thing” and “The Daily Trash”. Also the producer of the RadioActive chart show. My role was to make sure the computer was scheduled to play the right tracks & played them at the right time, and making sure the presenters knew what to say, also helping the presenters control the desk.

This was an RSL in Withernsea on 107.3FM, East Yorkshire. Co-presented afternoons with Jason Hughes. With features like Guess The Celeb & Magic 8. We also interviewed people from the NHS on how to stay active and Britain's biggest Westlife fan.

This involved me tech oping some of the Saturday night output, also helping round the office with sales and doing the odd job.
 
Galaxy 105

Galaxy 105 Yorkshire - Radio Training Course
I have been on a Media Fly Radio Training Course, which was held at Galaxy 105 in Leeds, the biggest commercial FM radio station outside of London. Where I put together a short 2 minute demo. Also I learned more about how radio works and what to put in and what not to put in a radio show.

Soundwave was a college radio station (Hull College), which is where I filled in for some presenters. Also I was in charge of the on air talent, and the schedule.
